Machines can be simple or complex.
Simple machines are made up of few pieces.
Simple machines use human energy.

A hammer is  a simple machine.

Complex machines are made up of many pieces. 

Complex machines use electricity, petrol or human energy to work.

A drill is a complex machine. 

It works with electricity.

A lorry  is a complex machine.

It works with petrol.

A bike is a complex machine.

It works with human energy.

Machines can also be manual or  automatic.

Manual machines work with human energy.

A spade is manual.

Automatic machines work with petrol or electricity.

A dishwasher is automatic. It works with electricity.

A scooter is automatic. It works with petrol.

Computers are complex machines: they are made up of many pieces:

A screen

A keyboard

A printer.

A mouse.

A  CPU
